Hmm. I have a dream, apart from the one I shared in the last post. This is serious. Really my dream.
I really hope to change people’s views of UGs. Many people think that UGs are for “untalented” people or “outcastes” (brainwashed from learning hinduism during history). Others think UGs are much too tough. Well I sort of agree on the latter that trainings can be quite tough n mentally draining but that is what shapes you into a resilient person, isn’t it? That is one of the goals of the National Police Cadet Corps. On the former, I totally disagree. I’m sure NYNP has many talented people.
Up till now, despite only being in NYNP for 8 months, I never regretted joining it. The thing about UG, as some insiders have told me, is that it forges life-long friendships. I don’t think other non-UGs are that close. That is because they have yet to experience hardships together with their batchmates. I think friendships are a “reward” you get after four years. You could never forget your squadmates.
Squadmates. What a special name to call ur batchmates who are closer than just schoolmates or classmates and normal friends. The alue “all for one, one for all.” teaches us not to be selfish and think about ourselves.
I was thinking, one day, if I ever come back to NYGH, would I announce to everyone that I was from NYNP, and that 46 is such a beautiful, special number to me? Would people look down on me and say that I was a complete failure or would they widen their eyes and exclaim how a person from UG could achieve such success? I really hope it’s not the former.
My dream is that in time to come, people would not look down on NPCC as an unwanted CCA. Rather, they would look at the members of NPCC with respect and commend on their discipline, persistence and comradeship.
For now, even if everyone looks down on us, we will continue doing our best for the unit, knowing fully well that sqms r always supporting you.
NYNP—the burning passion.

wahahaha this is so touching you make me wanna pee
