As much as it may seem old-fashioned or too narrow-minded these days, I am against homosexuality.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate gays and lesbians or anything. Rather, I fear for them. I fear what is bestowed for them on the Day of Judgement.

Yes. My above statements show clearly that I am a Christian. The act of homosexuality, amidst heated debates, sometimes filled with expletives, is clearly condemned in the Bible.

I am neither a Hebrew nor Greek scholar and hence I do not know the original text of the Bible well enough to make a clear judgement on that. However, the Bible used harsh words such as “detestable”, “shameful lusts” (NIV) to describe such acts, further demonstrating God’s stand them.

Some people claim that Leviticus 18:22 or 20:13 are not valid quotations as Leviticus is meant for priests and Christians are not bound by it. What is this book doing in the Bible if it is not meant for us? It would have been loss somewhere through out the millenniums if it was not meant for us.

Others claim that Romans 1:26, 27 are not valid either since they were from Paul, not Jesus himself. They claim that Paul was a self-appointed apostle and his teachings are rubbish. Then, why is it that Paul was called upon by Jesus on his way to Damascus? Why did God protect Paul on his treacherous journeys to preach the Word? If Paul were self-appointed, wouldn’t he have been punished severely since God absolutely detests such people who claim to be from God?

It frightens me how homosexuality have been accepted in so many states and nations today. Some states in USA have made same-sex marriages legal. Even their president Barrack Obama condones it.

One clear example of his intentions is the fact that God created Adam (a male) and Eve (a female). If he wanted men to have same-sex relations, why create males and females in the first place?

Ephesians 5:31 “For this reason a MAN will leave his father and mother and be united with his WIFE, and the two will become one flesh.”

Of course God meant for a MALE and FEMALE to be in union! Why is it that reproduction can only be done with the presence of a male AND a female?

Well, actually my interest in this topic was provoked by simply researching in population densities while I was studying my Geography notes today. My curiosity made me want to find out more about the countries with zero population density. It was then that I read about one micronation named Kingdom of Gays and Lesbians, established on Coral Sea Islands off the coast of Australia. Micronations are countries that exist on the internet, in the minds of the creators but are not recognised by the world officially. They usually occupy an actual physical location. This micronation is apparently headed by a constitutional monarchy and is open to anyone as long as they are either gays or lesbians. They even have a flag, an anthem, stamps and coins of their own.

I am definitely not educated enough to debate on this topic to a convincing state. My debate classmate is particularly interested in this topic too and she’s always defending gay and lesbian rights. Of course I don’t have any feelings of contempt toward her. She was and still is one of my fairly good friends. We have known each other for 5 (or even more) years. It just saddens me that so many people are accepting something that God abhor.

I have so much more to say but I’ve no time. Perhaps I’ll add more after EOYs..
